Project:

London Road Fire Station Drill Tower, London Road, Manchester

Scope of Works:

We were appointed by Quadriga Limited to complete the works on the Drill Tower that comprised of breaking out sections of the concrete roof slab, designated internal floors, and walkways, to facilitate the refurbishment of this building.

Our works also included forming openings in walls to facilitate padstones, new door openings and pockets for steelwork.

Prior to us breaking any floors out a crash deck is installed that covers the area of the slab to be removed.

All debris arising from the works was loaded into rubble tubs and carried to the scaffold waste chute for disposal.  All steelwork deemed to have no historical importance was cut into manageable sizes and also walked from the building to the waste chute.

The brickwork arising from the new openings formed has been retained by the client for reuse on this scheme.

Our works was completed over 12 visits once other trades had been allowed to complete their works in between.
