Garth, Alderley Edge

Scope of Works:

The project involved the asbestos removal, demolition and site clearance of the former residential dwelling known as Garth.

​

 The site was located within a restricted access zone which also restricted the size of demolition machine utilised to complete the demolitions and the size of wagons used to complete the site clearance. 

​

The works also included the removal and disposal of both licensed and non-licensed asbestos containing materials that were identified within the asbestos survey.  The electricity supply to the property remained live throughout the demolition works and was retained for the future development of the site.

The works were carried out by use of a demolition excavator fitted with controlled attachment and the asbestos was recovered by NNNL trained operatives and that of an HSE licensed asbestos removal contractor.

Programme: Programme given of 4 weeks from commencement; completed in 22 days.
