Project:
Garnett Avenue, Heanor, DE75 7AS
Scope of Works:
We were appointed by NAL plant to carry out the sensitive completely hand demolition of the former detached bungalow that had been purchased by the Coal Authority due to excess ground gases being registered within the property.
The project involved the entire dismantling of the structure down to slab level with all materials being removed on a daily basis as the workspace was minimal and skips could not be placed on surrounding roads.
The sequence of operations was first to complete and internal strip out to remove all floor fishes, ceiling finishes and none load bearing partitions. Next we removed the roof finishes, roof structure, internal walls and external walls down to the existing concrete ground slab.
All materials arising from the dismantling operation was secondary processed and loaded by hand method into the skips that were located on the existing driveway.
We also had occupied structures on either side of the property in close proximity and we also had gas ventilation shafts located around the property that could not be disturbed at any time throughout the project.
Works were completed within 3 weeks from Commencement with an average staffing level of 6 men.
