Scope of Works: 

To carry out the complete internal strip out works to all five floors of former office building in Manchester city centre.  Works included the removal and disposal of all fixtures and fittings, wall and ceiling finishes, all non-loadbearing walls together with a full M+E strip back to the existing heritage fabric.

 

All waste materials were to be removed from the building by hand method walked internally down to the ground level where they were placed into designated skips on a “wait and load” basis.  The loading away of materials could only take place between the hours of 18.00 and 20.30 Monday to Friday and between 10.00 and 15.00 on a weekend.  The project was be completed within a 14 week period with approximately 95% of the materials removed as part of the internal soft stripping being recycled off site.
